Introduction
Psychscope was envisioned as a mental wellness companion that empowers individuals to monitor and nurture their emotional well-being through technology. The goal was to design a holistic, user-centric mobile platform that enables users to track their moods, express thoughts through journaling, practice guided meditations, and connect with mentors for personalized support.
Timeline
8 weeks from research to MVP — covering user research, information architecture, visual design system, mobile app experience, and mentor–mentee interaction flows.
Background
I was responsible for defining Psychscope’s overall UX strategy, establishing its emotional design language, and designing the mobile experience end-to-end. The focus was to create a calm, inclusive, and intuitive interface that would help users reflect on their emotions, manage stress, and maintain daily emotional balance. Every screen and component was designed to feel reassuring prioritizing privacy, empathy, and mindfulness over generic gamification.
The Problem
In a world moving faster every day, maintaining mental and emotional equanimity has never been harder. While awareness around mental health is rising, many digital wellness tools still miss the mark offering only fragments of what users really need. Psychscope’s mission began by identifying the gaps and pain points that real users were facing:
Narrow Emotional Tracking
Existing mood trackers are superficial often limited to simple categories like “happy / sad / neutral.” They fail to capture nuance, intensity, or context over time. Users lack insights into their emotional patterns and triggers.
Generic, One-Size-Fits-All Guidance
Many wellness apps provide broad, generic advice that doesn’t adapt to individual users’ emotional states or histories. People need personalized, context-aware support not generic platitudes.
Privacy, Trust & Emotional Safety
Because mental health is deeply personal, users are especially sensitive to data privacy, security, and emotional safety. Any misstep (e.g. poorly worded prompts, data leaks) can erode trust.
Fragmented Experience & Disjointed Tools
Users often juggle multiple apps for mood logging, meditation, journaling, and advice losing coherence and continuity in their emotional wellness journey.
UX Process
This category details the step-by-step approach taken during the project, including research, planning, design, development, testing, and optimization phases.
Research & Planning
Conducted comparative research across Robinhood, Groww, and other fintech apps. Identified gaps in first-time investor onboarding and mapped out audience needs.
Design & Prototyping
Created interactive Figma prototypes to test flows for login, onboarding, dashboard insights, and watchlist creation. Iterated based on user testing with early-stage investors.
Implementation
Built responsive designs and handoff-ready components for developers. Delivered mobile-first flows alongside dashboard widgets for deeper stock exploration.
Testing & Optimization
Partnered with QA and PMs to test on mobile + web. Refined flows to reduce drop-offs in onboarding and optimized dashboard layouts for real-time updates.
Solution
Psychscope bridges the gaps in existing mental wellness tools through a cohesive, empathetic, and adaptable app. It offers an integrated platform where users can not only track emotions but reflect, relax, and connect all in service of holistic mental health.
Psychscope brings together mood tracking, journaling, guided meditations, and mentorship into a single cohesive experience.
Personalized Mentor–Mentee Model
To address the lack of tailored support in most wellness apps, Each mentor provides personalized guidance, regular check-ins, and adaptive goals ensuring the experience feels human, supportive, and trustworthy.
The product’s visual and interaction language was designed to reflect calmness and empathy. Soft gradients, rounded shapes, and mindful microinteractions create a safe and welcoming environment that reduces cognitive load and enhances emotional engagement.

The mood tracking and journaling features enhanced emotional awareness, while guided meditation exercises helped reduce stress. The personalized mentor-mentee support provided tailored guidance for users facing emotional challenges.
